IWSG August--Gratitude and Birthday Wishes
It's funny how time keeps marching on, isn't it? There have been so many times I wish I could have hit pause. Just for a while, you know?
Of course, I'd pause during the good, happy times and soak them in to help me get through the tough times a little easier. That holds true for the writing aspects of my life as well as the other parts. Even though I plan on August being wonderful, July would be a pause month for me because of the things that I am grateful for that came to me in July.
I want to express my gratitude to the wonderful people who subscribe to my newsletter. When I really needed them, they responded to my plea for help. Many answered my call to beta read my latest book chapter by chapter AS I WROTE IT.
We all know how bad first drafts can be, right? These wonderful ladies accepted my request because they knew I needed them. The only reason I finished CATCH ME IF I FALL on time was because I knew they were waiting for each chapter. And they had such wonderful insights, questions, and comments that are helping with the revisions right now.
So...

August is my birthday month and my anniversary month. As of this year, I have been married for twenty-seven years. I knew my hubby ten years before we married and was twelve when we met. So, do the math. ;)
My wish this year is for those I love to have the peace they seek and the energy to chase their dreams. It's hard to know that I can't make everything "right" in their lives, but hopefully, they know that I'm always here for them. Seeing my kids and my husband happy brings so much joy to my life.
And more book sales wouldn't make me sad. ;)

Purpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds! Posting: The first Wednesday of every month is officially Insecure Writer’s Support Group day. Post your thoughts on your own blog. Talk about your doubts and the fears you have conquered. Discuss your struggles and triumphs. Offer a word of encouragement for others who are struggling. Visit others in the group and connect with your fellow writer - aim for a dozen new people each time - and return comments. This group is all about connecting! Let’s rock the neurotic writing world! Our Twitter handle is @TheIWSG and hashtag is #IWSG. The awesome co-hosts for the August 2 posting of the IWSG are Kate Larkindale, Diane Burton, Janet Alcorn, and Shannon Lawrence!
