Introducing Charity Bradford and River Ford

Most of the time I think I'm pretty normal. Then I try and explain to people that I write books under two names. That leads to the whole, "I hear voices..." conversation. So, maybe I'm not that normal after all.
But that's okay. I'm not the only strange duck out there.
So, who am I and why do I write what I write?
First things first. Charity is my real name. I haven't always loved it as a name. It came with jokes, and for the religious community, a heavy pressure to epitomize kindness and love. That probably made me a better person all around. In fact, one of my favorite things to do is to help others realize they can chase and accomplish their own dreams. That's why I started my podcast, but we'll save that for another post.
Here's a quick download of bits of my personality. I am a wife, mother, and author. My family is my whole life, and my imaginary friends come in at a close second. Real life friends often have to rescue me from myself, and I'm so lucky to have the people in my life that I do. I love to cook and bake. I'd rather be outside in nature than on a crowded street. Mountains instead of beaches (unless I'm cruising), dark chocolate, barefoot whenever possible, vanilla candle instead of floral, cake instead of pie, dogs, Star Trek, Doctor Who, and I listen to a strange mix of music that might not make sense. And River Ford? She is my nod to my love of science fiction while writing contemporary romance.
So, who are you? What little things do you love that have influenced your personality? Share in the comments!
